Closed-loop materials design with artificial intelligence
James Saal, Citrine Informatics, USA
Automating hardware for materials synthesis and characterization and software for data processing and simulations is becoming increasingly practical technologies for materials and chemicals design. Pairing these systems with artificial intelligence (AI)-driven design of experiments tools creates closed-loop workflows that are self-driving and can significantly accelerate materials discovery and development workflows. This talk will describe the Citrine Platform, cloud-based enterprise-level software that combines smart materials data infrastructure and AI, and our growing experience of integrating AI tools in automated experimentation and simulation platforms to enable closed-loop materials design.
