Industrial production processes usually do not consist of one single production step but of several sequential sub-processes. Such sequences of sub-processes are often referred to as process chains. In traditional process analysis these sub-processes are treated to be independent of one another, even thought they interact in the way that the results of earlier sub-processes are often critical for the performance of later ones . The purpose of this presentation is to introduce a software package that allows not only to simulate process chains, but to predict and analyse the transfer and the progression of uncertainty inside these process chains. © 2017 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
