A lifetime prognosis model for elastomer components through nonlinear damage accumulation of material stressing is introduced. This approach does not only offer the calculation of part lifetime based on changing part or material specific characteristic values during their lifetime but also the resulting changing arrangement of inner stresses with the finite element method. Once the model is calibrated by test parts the method can be used with any desired geometry.
