In this paper a novel super-resolution wavefront extraction algorithm is introduced that merges advantages of the efficient constant false alarm rate and super-resolution ability of dynamic correlation method based techniques. The introduced algorithm optimizes the computational effort and possible feature extraction of complex metallic objects. Furthermore, a suitable imaging algorithm is briefly described that merges the advantages of these algorithms. This optimization is ideal for autonomous security robotics where real-time conditions are necessary. Experimental validations are performed with three complex test objects. For the measurements a m-sequence Radar operating from 4.5 GHz to 13.5 GHz and compact dual-polarized Ultra Wideband antennas are used. © 2016 EuMA.
